A Law to Help Strengthen SMB Cybersecurity

There’s a new cybersecurity regulation in town, but your company isn’t on the hook for compliance.

The NIST Small Business Cybersecurity Act, signed into law in August, requires the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to use existing funds to help SMBs identify, assess, manage, and reduce their security risks. It gives NIST up to one year to create resources and best practices that are easy for smaller organizations to understand and implement.

This bill is the latest acknowledgement that cyber criminals are increasingly targeting SMBs, knowing they rely as much on the Internet as larger companies do but generally have less protection. Xantrion is keeping up with a regularly upgraded portfolio of managed security tools. Contact us to find out how we can protect you against cyberattacks so you can focus on your bottom line.
