Installing software patches as soon as they're released is one of the simplest ways to lower IT security risk. So why are so many organizations failing to do it?
A recent survey suggests that IT is drowning in patches. Half of respondents said vendors are releasing patches at an unmanageable rate. Two-thirds said that at least some of the time, their security teams have a difficult time figuring out which patch needs to be applied to which system. And nearly 9 out of 10 said patches that are embedded in updates for other products — such as Adobe Flash patches in Google Chrome updates — make it even harder to understand.
If your organization is struggling with patch management, call Xantrion. We understand how to apply patches to keep your IT security properly covered.
