Hack Impact Hits Hard

When Yahoo announced only last month that it suffered a data breach in 2014 that compromised 500 million user accounts, it didn't just take a hit to its reputation. While it's unlikely that Yahoo will be sued by the SEC for failing to disclose the breach in its regulatory filing, the revelation of the breach will likely delay its acquisition by Verizon and potentially reduce Verizon's $4.8 billion purchase price.
